Can't Wait to Get to Dixie Kennels!
DOGGISM OF THE DAY
"Did
you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you? But
when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window!"
Steve Bluestone

Hello!
Thank you for visiting my site!
I hope this information will be helpful to you in making your decision
about boarding your "babies". They are our babies, aren't they?
My name is Carolyn Spradlen and I have been in the boarding business
for 25 years. I started in 1982 when my husband was training bird
dogs. We decided that it would be a good idea to start a kennel,
because the hunters were wanting us to keep their dogs for them.
So we thought we could put our property to some good use and make some
extra money along the way.
After a few years, I was boarding everything from ferrets to birds to
rabbits to chinchillas. About 22 years ago, I started grooming dogs as
a service to my boarding clients.
Today, I must say that it has outdone any of my expectations. I
have been able to be a stay-at-home-Mom to raise our children and still
be able to have extra income. I pride myself in taking care of
all of the "babies" that come to see me just like I would want my dogs
taken care of by someone else. There is nothing that makes me
smile more than to see a dog come jumping and running to greet me when
they come to "doggy camp".
I have climate controlled facilities for cats and the little guys. I
also have an exercise pen that I take all of them out one at a time to
run and play. Special treats are given on a regular basis.
Grooming is available by appointment or can be done on "retrieve
day". Food is supplied unless there is a special diet required.
Proof of ALL shots are required including, Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks again for visiting my site.
